Monique Shares Her Story
I was rejected before I ever saw the world but, I refused to live as a rejected individual on purpose, and over time I matured. I was a sickly child which followed me into my adult life. These major health challenges begin from the age of 13 until 2019. The enemy has tried recently but, I’ve bounced back with the help of the Lord! These difficulties have allowed me to become stronger and identify my true PURPOSE for living.
I was considered to be a special education student who really had no future according to statistics and my grades reflected this declaration. This was due to missing so much school and falling behind as a child because of my chronic illness. By age 15, I overcame depression after realizing that even when I tried to take my life by absorbing a lot of pills, it still did not work because God with intention designed me to become who I am today.
Fast-forwarding into my adult life, I have come through multiple surgeries (at least 15 major or minor) in addition to developing a colon disease that took a turn for the worst...the big C word that individuals hate to hear. God healed me miraculously within 11 days of the diagnosed condition. The initial conversation with the gastrologist pushed me to rise up in faith. I didn’t know that kind of faith existed and I said to the doctor I’ve got to talk with my God...just give me 11 days. The rest was history! Although I still had to take over 22 pills every day for two years after that experience, it was worth it all! I asked God to grant me time to live, to raise my children, and to be a wife to my husband. Also, to all those individuals that I am assigned to reach through what He has invested within me. I made the statement many years "I can’t DIE like this" and God has honored His word concerning me.
I have been fortunate to obtain two Christian degrees and a Master's degree in Leadership Management and Business.
